Competition is open to amateur gardeners. All entrants must purchase
an exhibitor number for $1.00.
Entrants will landscape an approximate area of 10'x5'x10' near
a fair building, as assigned, on Sunday August 17 or Monday August 18, 2008 during registration.
The display material may include live or dry plant
material. No artificial material is permitted. .
Plants must be displayed i containers as no digging
of the grounds is permitted. The containers may be concealed with mulch or other similar material.
All plants should be identified on a tag
that can be viewed by the public.
The use of benches, fences and nonpermanent walkways are permitted.
Those wishing to enter a display must reserve a space
two(2) weeks prior to the opening day of the fair.
The South Mountain Fair Association is not
responsible for damage to displays by wind or individuals.
All pots will be marked with the owner's name, address
and telephone number.
Exhibits must remain on display until
10:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2008.
Violation of these rules will result in a forfeiture of premiums.
